Eunkyung Lee
Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1975 and moved to New York in 2000
I create objects and installations that speak to the gentle strangeness of being human. My work often begins with play—a form, a texture, a quiet impulse—and grows into a personal mythology of imagined creatures, emotional landscapes, and domestic rituals. Through soft materials, found forms, and sculptural assemblage, I explore how memory lives in objects and how tenderness can be a form of resistance.
